Member at large and local meeting organiser
Natural History Museum, London
Laboratory Manager Microbiology/ Research Support
While acting as a laboratory manager and supporting NHM research, Rachel is currently enrolled as a part time PhD student at Cefas, The NHM, and Royal Holloway London University. She is studying pathogens and symbionts associated with non-native invasive aquatic species. Her work explores the diversity of pathogens and symbionts which are potentially co-transported with aquatic invasive species. As well as examining the potential implications of these pathogens, this research should have influence on policy and legislation surrounding their impacts.
